Obi Wan Kenobi Myers-Brigs type - MBTI, enneagram and personality type info

Obi Wan Kenobi MBTI personality type cover chart

& Obi-Wan's main motivation is his lack of individuality & having unity in the cause to help people. The theory is simple. Obi-Wan is a definite NFJ. He said so himself that he'll train him without permission if he must. Loyal to their peers and to their internal value systems, but not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if they get in the way of getting something done. Detached and analytical, they excel at finding solutions to practical problems..

. He had to please Qui-Gon & couldn't let him down. They are extroverted, idealistic, charismatic, outspoken, highly principled and ethical, and usually know how to connect!. I-TJ is the best typing for him. Obi Wan is the most obvious 1 in the world. he's also an SJ who respect the rule of the Jedi Council and never question it, and make a point that every one respect the rules and the hierarchy. I have never known him to buck the Jedi Council - when they refused to make Anakin a Master, Obi-Wan just told Anakin to have patience. Obi-Wan is no INFJ, he has no vision for the world. Jung theorized that the dominant function acts alone in its preferred world: exterior for extraverts and interior for introverts.. For enneagram I guess 1w2 so/sp. Possibly ENTP in The Clone Wars but movie Obi-Wan is INFj to the core. The climactic scene on Mustafar in Revenge of the Sith strikes me as an explosion of his repressed tertiary Fi, as he uncharacteristically expresses how he felt about Anakin. If he followed it so blindly as you claim, he wouldn't even offer to train him since the council said No. He seems pretty different in it, much more like the detailed rational rule follower. He feels oppressed enough to tell Padme about it almost immediately after seeing her again for the first time in ten years. In the original trilogy he looks more like a 1w9 sp/sx INFJ than a his prequel personality as a 6w5 so/sx ISTJ, but his prequel personality is far more developed. Compare Obi-wan to Anakin (ENFP, same cognitive functions) who is constantly expressing how he feels about things owing to strong Fi. in the original trilogy he is an old man who has developed his inferior Ne, plus exteriorly he can look like a stereotype of INFJ or INTP - the crazy old man with a bear who live alone in the desert- but he still has his non-nonsense and practical way of operating of an ISTJ. The famous scene is supposed to be especially emotionally profound because Obi-wan, who almost never expresses how he feels about things, gets very emotional. So/sp because he is so focused on society, the greater good. Obi wan has developed control over. Not to pry, but did you change your mind or simply not vote. I ask because I've noticed my votes have been tampered with on a few specific pages and I'm trying to find out if other people have been having the same issue. INFJs are empathetic, spiritual, understanding, and ambitious, which don't describe Obi-Wan nearly as much. The fact that Obi-wan cried when he believes he has killed his life-long friend is by no means an indication of F over T. I can understand why people think he's ISTJ (perhaps that's also bc of the clone wars series. Yes he always makes decisions based on logic. If you enjoyed this entry, find out about the personality types of Star Wars characters list.. Welcome to MBTIBase - PersonalityBase, here you can learn about Obi Wan Kenobi MBTI type.. Everyone gets emotional sometimes. He was going to defy the council & train Anakin anyway just because he made a promise to Qui-Gon that he would. The ISTJ is the duty follower, when he make a promise, he must respect it. Even if not directly tested, public voting can provide good accuracy regarding Obi Wan Kenobi Myers-Briggs and personality type!. INFJs are visionaries and idealists who ooze creative imagination and brilliant ideas.. There really should be a distinction or separate page for young and old Obi Wan. He calls him "tough," "strict," etc. (due to Fe, Fe senses the mood in its surroundings and strives for harmony). He's the classic "good soldier" - he does the will of the Jedi. However I see this as the product of Ni and also Fe to some extend. But he couldn't let down Qui-Gon when he promised him, as he died.

. I've seen it but didn't spend much time thinking about it. Well though we don't see it explicitly in the films, Anakin feels oppressed at times by Obi-Wan's teachings. " This is a quote taken from when he was forced into slavery, and every time he disobeyed orders, the owners would punish the innocent people instead of him, because they knew that harming others would break him more than if they would harm him directly. ISTJ seems to fit well though. He believes it should be set in stone. If you must insist he's an Ni dom, why not an INTJ. Therfore obiwan is not an ISTJ in the prequel, or an INFJ in the trilogy, he is just an ISFJ that seems N through his jedi ways and his developed Ne. If he were INFJ, he would have been much more sympathetic and understanding of Anakin's anger and would have made it a point to adapt his training style to help Anakin feel appreciated. Discover Array, and more, famous people, fictional characters and celebrities here!. Sp over sx, he isn't about experiencing intensity and fullfilling emotions (Contrary to Anakin) and is more on the grounded secure side. In his youth he makes rash decisions and acts on his emotions before analyzing them, Fe-Se. Also, Te is a cognitive function, not a behavior. He comes off as quite controlled and rigit sometimes, bc he's so focused on the code and doing the right thing. Can you trust the word of one whose main part of their chikdhood was star wars. Obi-Wan has no Fi. He has Ni because he views the principles of the jedi code as his life. his Ne and has adopted it as part of his personality. Anakin believing Obi-Wan being overly critical is simply Anakin being arrogant & thinking he doesn't need to even be trained due to him being "The Chosen One". Obi-Wan is totally an ISTJ. A thinker would'be easily stuck with the fact that anakin is angry and too old and wouldn't of convinced true ISTJ's like Mace Windu that he should train Anakin. Obi wan displayed the wit and way with words only visible through Si/Ne. I'd say he's an ENFJ with pretty developed Ni. That seems very feeling to me. If he is so no nonsense, then why does he put up with Anakin's rebelliousness without punishing in a Te manner. It's like he basically accepts Anakin's attitude & adapts to that, basically expecting it, as he teaches him, instead of using any kind of authority, like say Mace Windu would. He seems like an SJ in the prequels and like an NJ in Episode IV. Ni can come of as too vague, having to few prooves and just "feelings" which are often seen as unrational). You are in the best place to test MBTI and learn what type Obi Wan Kenobi likely is!. Here you can explore of famous people and fictional characters.. When Obi-wan is training Anakin, he clearly exhibits better developed Te than Fe, refusing to adapt his training to fit Anakin's very strong emotional needs, being mostly unsupportive of Anakin's frequent dissent. god damnit, some people have "type 6 tourette". We don't see many examples of this, but we hear about it quite a bit. I type based on the prequel Movies and the Jedi Quest & Apprentice Books. I'm not sure about him in the original Triology. What is the best option for the MBTI type of Obi Wan Kenobi? What about enneagram and other personality types?. That was emohasizing his empathy for anakin as he screamed "I hate you" An ISTJ like Mace Windu would have just left him there without second thought, but Obi-Wan just had to go through the Fe crap and tell anakin how much he loved him, crying as he knew he couldn't save him, and even taking his lightsaber so he can have a sentimental object of him (very SF btw) the quote he's most famous for is when he dispatched general grevious saying, "So uncivilized" that should be an indication of preference of Fe over Te. For me, the Te-Fi is fairly obvious because of what I said below. That is because we become more balanced and calm with ourselves. In the original films Kenobi is clearly 1ish and an INFJ. ENFJ tends to be the most sensory personality, as it often acts to what is expected (due Fe primary) and shuts down Ni (which is less valued in society. An ISTJ would be more rule bound and enforcing like Mace Windu, but Obi wan is more emotionally driven and sentimental, being more of a moralizer and a mentor, less of an enforcer. That has nothing to do with being an Ni-dom. Yes that makes the most sense because as far as I'm aware people's types don't change throughout their lives. If he used Fi, he would've stayed true to his view on Anakin & refused to train him. And Obi-Wan can't use as much authority as Mace Windu because he's not as highly ranked within the Jedi Order. I agree that obi-wan may not be an N, since he chose to go by what he observed instead of going by the prophecy of the chosen one like Quin Gon did. The MBTI questionnaire sorts people into one of 16 different personality types.. Good job, Chaotic. Is he foreseeing, inquisitive of a planner of the future. INTJs are interested in ideas and theories when observing the world.. If you think he's Ni, INTJ makes more sense than INFJ. If my arguments make sense, I would suggest changing your vote ;)The problem we are seeing here is that there are two distinctive Kenobis. Obi-Wan ISTJ is probably the most grotesque typing in the history of MBTI. The fact that his biggest weakness is his caring nature toward others really shows that he is a strong Fe user. He dislikes detailed politic procedures and preferes to be in action, so this seems Se over Ti. In this site you can find out which of the 16 types this character 'Obi Wan Kenobi' belongs to!.
