But when in reality the tv world kills the kidnap. He's bored and upset at the world because he feels entitled to so much more than he's getting, and he's willing to project his warped nihilistic world-view on everyone because of this entitlement ("Wouldn't it be easier if we ALL just became Shadows. He rather takes action punished those he consider as sh*t. And a lot of his later moves as the Inaba serial killer are in service of little else than generating chaos. He is operating out of boredom; a twisted, gnawing hunger and insatiability at the pit of his soul. while he’s easily bored he doesn’t seem particularly adventurous or risk-taking like 7s, much less 7w8s. He believes he is entitled to so much more than he's getting and resents those who succeed; his sense of entitlement leads him to lash out at both Saki Konishi and Mayumi Yamano. They are extroverted, idealistic, charismatic, outspoken, highly principled and ethical, and usually know how to connect!. He actually does very little outside of the first two murders. Serious Persona 4 spoilers in this post. Welcome to MBTIBase - PersonalityBase, here you can learn about Tohru Adachi MBTI type.. The more investigation prevent a person dying. given his backstory, i think his 'slacking' is more akin to the lack of motivation of a depressed person more than just natural laziness. They rebuffed him, so he. i can somewhat agree with adachi being a slacker, but only 'somewhat' because i think it's a learned behavior for him more than anything else. And it would be pretty interesting for Adachi, in his natural frame of mind, to more closely resemble an ISTJ 5w6. SJ folks are known to be detail-oriented almost by definition, hands-on planners and busy-bees, even at their worst. INFPs, like most introverts, are quiet and reserved. They prefer not to talk about themselves.. Adachi is hard to type because it is difficult to know where artifice ends and his actual personality begins. Oh wait, there's already an argument for an ENFP down here. Adachi occasionally stokes the flame to keep the games going, but he's mostly content to simply watch the dominoes fall. Adachi's dangerous slacker mindset and sense of entitlement is what makes him a good foil for the protagonist, who starts as Nothing and has to work his butt off by making orgami, working part-time jobs, and reading self-help books to ultimately reap the reward of healthy relationships and popularity. he doesn't seem to care about self-reflection and 4ish stuff like that. And a really good one too. It is important to remember that Adachi's arcana is the Jester (before disintegrating into Hunger). He /did/ intend to kill the second victim, he just feigned innocence because he's a manipulative trashbag. Here you can explore of famous people and fictional characters..

. Adachi mislead Nametame to kidnap people to save them. Especially with what we see of his private life in the Jester social-link in P4G. and that brings me to my main point - the way i see it, adachi is depressed and indifferent rather than actively thrill-seeking. In this site you can find out which of the 16 types this character 'Tohru Adachi' belongs to!. i did my research and came to the conclusion he's actually an unhealthy istj. I'm open to suggestions, I really like this character, lol. In the end though, Adachi was motivated mostly by boredom.

. Adachi doesn't really care about making a change. once he was completely alone and with no chance for better future he decided to just throw in the towel and just enjoy himself for once. Why do you think he's an ENFP. anyhow, adachi seems to love the chaos he creates because it's something he didn't get to experience in his entire life up until now. if his backstory (p4g: the animation) is anything to go by, he was extremely hardworking and put-together in his past to the point of abandoning social relationships in favor of good education. Listless, asocial, and routine. 7w8 1w2 and 3w2. Again, I really like your analysis of Adachi's mindset. he finally felt like he has something interesting going on in his life, a challenge. his life is empty and boring. sure, he seems the exact opposite on the surface - pessimistic and cynical to a fault - but don't you think that's because he has his own, idealized vision of the world. Take his manipulation of Namatame into becoming an unwitting accomplice - this was entirely improvisational. that's when his true istj colors really show. it's no wonder that his first murder, albeit incidental, felt liberating. i understand if you still disagree. Still, I don't know ultimately where I fall on Adachi's MBTI type, I still have a hard time seeing him as a strong "J" personality with just how loosely he plays it with his methodology. A really misunderstood character. INTJs are interested in ideas and theories when observing the world.. Adachi always purposely slipped-his tongue just to manipulate the investigation team. Adachi isn't really an idealist. He's clearly introverted in my opinion. Heavily stressed INTJs can seem like INFPs, barely using Te any longer. i think he has 6 wing because of how much he seems to appreciate things like loyalty, tradition and security (it's especially evident in his interactions with the dojima family) even if he's not particularly aware of it. I think I agree with INxJ being his type, albeit he's a psychopatic one for sure. i know he’s hard to type taking his… issues… into account. His later crimes (like leaving the note at Narukami's house) were in service of little else outside of generating chaos. For all we player know, the shadow may as well engulf Adachi as with Inaba. but the important part is - he did so from a safe distance. Very interesting character. He has a lot more in common with Loki than he does Darth Vader. he's not particularly abstract or concerned with morality. when he rants about how world has gone to shit, he says that everyone should just become shadows so there's no deception, no worries, no running away from the truth. That said, Adachi's an ENFP. at this point i think it's safe to say that his love for fun is repressed and unhealthy and he doesn't know how to enjoy himself in moderation. Most of his crimes are spur of the moment; predicated on impulse and ultimately succeed on the virtues of dumb-luck and fortuitous circumstance. It is hard for me to believe an ISTJ, even a counter-phobic one, would be comfortable leaving this much to chance, that alone is a tremendous risk. His manipulation of Namatame into being an unwitting accomplice was almost entirely improvisational. adachi sees no point in trying because hard work led him nowhere in the past. If you enjoyed this entry, find out about the personality types of Persona 4 characters list.. He rather wants people to accept the illusion and no need to keep struggling by turning Inaba into a shadow world. That paints his behavior in a different light. He also enjoy the limelight. 5w6 vs 7w8: the entire point of adachi's story mode in p4au2 is to prove that his boredom stems from his rejection of bonds, isolation, and not just desire for fun. Particularly regarding his growing nihilism as an extension of depression. Be careful with that. Loyal to their peers and to their internal value systems, but not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if they get in the way of getting something done. Detached and analytical, they excel at finding solutions to practical problems.. Ah, can't believe I missed this post. I like your analysis, but I'm gonna have to disagree with the ISTJ typing, but only operating under what's in the original game and P4Golden, I really like the Persona 4 spin-offs but they suffer from kind of inconsistent characterization due to constantly shifting writing teams. What is the best option for the MBTI type of Tohru Adachi? What about enneagram and other personality types?. I say ENFP over ENTP because Adachi's weird tantrum at the end of the game is reminiscent of unhealthy Fi. really he's lashing out at those who have put the effort in. his role in the story is more about observing than actively taking part in all the chaos. In fact, most of his crimes were committed on impulse and predicated on dumb-luck. and that's my take on adachi. the reason i insist so much on using p4au2 in my examples is that this is a really good opportunity to see adachi's exact thought processes, especially now that he's in his most "natural" state - at peace and minding his own business. In his endgame monologue, Adachi laments and resents those with the golden ticket of "talent", but if the game has taught as anything up until this point. he's so used to the routine he set for himself he doesn't even think of trying new things to spice up his life, hell, maybe he doesn't even know how. The thought of boredom kills him a lot. in addition, in his social link in p4g we can see the snippets of his current life - he eats the same meals every day, doesn't try to take up new hobbies and never goes out of his own way to meet new people. He thought the power he received when arriving Inaba can bring more enjoyment; In truth he really never really meant to hurt anyone. Without further ado. This personality type is highly individualistic and Champions strive toward creating their own methods, looks, actions, habits, and ideas!. Even if not directly tested, public voting can provide good accuracy regarding Tohru Adachi Myers-Briggs and personality type!. he scorns idealism preferring tangible results instead (he straight out says it in one of his win quotes in p4au2) and while he doesn't plan much ahead, he does thinks things through beforehand. When know one accepts him(his first two victims) he punished them. istj vs enfp: adachi bases his entire worldview on his past experiences and assumes life will be the exact same for everyone else. This would create an interesting parallel with Dojima - an ISTJ 6w5, and their mutually loyal relationship with one another. a significant amount of things he does is a result of his "oh well, fuck everything" attitude and not his quick wit or improvisation skills. puts them in the TV. he's a rather amibiguous character so it's difficult to have a clear-cut analysis of him without at least some of personal interpretation. his story in p4au2 is really well written (it was supposedly written by one person so that would make sense) taking his character development into account. but ultimately, i think adachi is an istj 5w6-1w9-3w4 sx/sp (obviously unhealthy and disintegrating). But you make a damn good argument. he was even fairly stereotypical until he became tired of everyone's bullshit and stopped caring. Despite being responsible the death of 2. He however isn't as an idealist of 1w9. Normally i'd agree about the inconsistencies in the spin-offs but i feel like adachi is this one character the creators put a lot of care in portraying. They are not known for being particularly comfortable in the world of improvisation. He is psuedo-idealist at most. An unusual type villain in video games. he simply does whatever he wants at the given moment and then abuses his power as a detective to cover it all up. He is a Trickster villain by archetype; an agent of chaos and deception. Thinking – Feeling, represents how a person processes information. Thinking means that a person makes a decision mainly through logic.. But Adachi is a slacker, it is alluded to that maybe he was a hard-worker (or imagined himself to be one) at some point, but this is simply fuel for his growing sense of entitlement.
